Duration: From lunch to dinner

You’ve finally made it to Seoul, and you’re eager to taste all the delicious Korean dishes you’ve been dreaming about. But where to start? Which restaurant should you choose? And what if you walk into a place where the menu is entirely in Korean, leaving you clueless about what to order—or worse, ending up with a dish you’re not quite ready for?

If these concerns sound familiar, don’t worry—I’ve got you covered with a food tour in Seoul like no other!

We’ll kick off at lunchtime with a traditional Korean meal, where I’ll guide you through the dining rituals and local etiquette. After lunch, we’ll take a relaxing bike ride along the river to help digest, and then indulge in some crispy Korean fried chicken by the Hangang.

We’ll wrap up the day with a grand finale—an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ where you’ll experience how Koreans enjoy their meals together, sharing grilled pork in a lively, friendly atmosphere.

This unique opportunity to explore Seoul is perfect whether you’re traveling solo, with a partner, friends, or family. It’s also a great way to meet new travel companions! With the group size limited to just 7 people, you’ll enjoy a warm and intimate experience.

Details:

  • Group Size: Minimum of 2 people required; if less than 2 are booked, the experience will be canceled, and you’ll receive a full refund.
  • Time: Meet at 12:30 PM, and the day will wrap up around 8:30 PM.
  • Location: The starting point is in central Seoul and will be provided after booking.
  • Price: 129USD per person. (Please note, drinks and personal expenses are not included.)

Discounts:

  • 5% off when you book for 2 people
  • 10% off when you book for 3 people
  • 15% off when you book for 4 or more

What’s Included:

  • A meal at a restaurant serving traditional Korean dishes.
  • Bike rental for the river ride.
  • Korean fried chicken to share during the afternoon.
  • Unlimited Korean BBQ (pork).

In case of rain or extreme temperatures, the bike ride will be replaced by a visit to a traditional market, where we’ll…you guessed it, eat more Korean street food! After all, this is a food tour, not a diet tour 😝

Book now and get ready for a unique culinary adventure in Seoul that you won’t soon forget!

P.S.: If the available dates don’t suit you, feel free to email us at jake@thekoreandream.fr. Depending on availability and group size, we might be able to open up additional dates!

I'm not used to signing up for excursions or tours with others. But this time, I wanted to try something I couldn't do alone, without the help of a local. Jake's food tour seemed perfect! And I was right because I had a blast! The two restaurants (lunch and dinner) were really delicious, and I definitely wouldn't have found them on my own haha, especially the 삼겹살, which is impossible for me to eat solo! The bike ride around Yeouido was perfect and much needed after the meal, totally manageable for non-athletic people, and the view was superb. The 2 hours flew by too quickly! By the way, I wouldn't have been able to rent a bike on my own, you need a Korean app. The little Korean chicken snack was just in time by the famous Han River In short! I had a great day that I recommend without hesitation if you want to experience something local, off the beaten tourist path.

My friends and I participated in the Food tour + bike activity organized by Jake. We really, really enjoyed our day. The small group concept encourages interactions with him and the other participants. By the end of the day, we were all "Best buddies." The choice of restaurants was excellent. The bike ride along the river was pleasant and super relaxing. After the bike ride, we had a picnic enjoying fried chicken and playing Godori (Korean card game). Jake is super friendly and interesting. This day was one of my favorites during my stay. I highly recommend it.

What a great idea to discover Korea right after landing! We'll enjoy the restaurants more for the rest of our stay. We would never have dared to enter the lunchtime restaurant alone... and we would have missed out on a great moment. Super day with Jake, who is an excellent and very pleasant guide. The bike ride along the Hangang River is truly an unforgettable memory!!! Thanks again, Jake.

What better way to discover a country than through its gastronomy? That's Jake's idea, and frankly, I loved being immersed in Korean life. The bike tour allows for a visit to Seoul from a different angle but also works up an appetite And of course, a big thanks to our guide, who took his time, answered all our questions, gave us a ton of information, and even introduced us to a local game. If I come back to Seoul, I'll definitely book another tour or something new!!!

Great time that my husband and I shared with Jake and Zoé. We appreciated the quality of the meals in restaurants where we probably wouldn't have dared to step in without being accompanied. The little bike ride and the snack by the Han River transported us into local daily life away from our tourist wanderings. We also learned some little tips on how to pair dishes with sides and about Korean customs. In short, a great moment, great encounters, and a captivating and accommodating guide.

For my 30th birthday, I wanted to be taken care of. I wanted to experience something 100% local, and what better way to do that than with Jake. We met at a subway exit at 12:20, then we let ourselves be guided on a food tour. First, we headed to a restaurant where tourists don't go (I already liked the idea). We chose to sit on the floor to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. The meal, composed of many small dishes, was just delicious After the meal, we rented bikes (the system is great) and rode along the Han River. The weather was beautiful, a light breeze caressed our faces, and our eyes switched to contemplation mode. The birds and trees produced a soft song, it was magical! During the break after 2 hours of biking, we ate fried chicken at a picnic area. We were surrounded by young people, laughter, and various activities. To fully enjoy the moment and get into the mood, Jake suggested two Korean board games. A very appreciated surprise! We received plenty of tips for the rest of the trip and gained almost 2 days of transport time thanks to his suggestions That means more time to visit this incredible peninsula. We had been waiting for this meeting to discover Korean barbecue as it should be. And what better way to do it for the first time than with all-you-can-eat meat! We enjoyed 4 rounds of pork meat with different marinades to exchange on Korea. It was great, a must-do at the beginning of your trip.

  2. I did the food tour in May 2024. It was one of the best days of my stay in Korea! I loved everything we ate, the day was full, and Jake was as adorable and attentive as always. It was really great to do the bike ride and picnic by the river before returning to eat an all-you-can-eat BBQ in the evening. It’s also about meeting great people with whom we ended the evening at karaoke before parting and becoming friends even in France now!

  3. Superb afternoon, especially since the sun was with us! I recommend this for those like me who knew nothing about Korea upon arrival because, thanks to Jake, I was able to learn a lot about Korean meals, which served me well for the rest of my trip!!! Thanks again!

  4. If you’re looking for an experience that will truly immerse you in Korean life for a few hours, you’re in the right place! Thanks to Jake, this is possible: you can access a restaurant frequented only by locals, go for a bike ride along the Han River, learn Korean games, and end the evening with a barbecue. All of this is perfectly organized. Jake also knew how to adapt to the needs of each person in the group, all in joy, good humor, and a lot of laughter! Honestly, one of my best moments during my stay in Seoul.

  5. A magnificent day. It was perfect, and the weather was great too. Beautiful discoveries, both culinary and human. Everything was top-notch—the restaurant, the walk, the picnic, the board games, and the barbecue together. And if your group is nice, end with karaoke 😉 I highly recommend this activity. Jake is super nice and attentive. He knew how to adapt to my situation for the bike ride, very professional and kind.
